WILDERNESS MEDICINE COMMITTEE
The Wilderness Medicine Committee is dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies in wilderness and remote environments. Our purpose is to provide comprehensive education in wilderness medicine, covering topics such as patient assessment, injury management, environmental considerations, and survival skills. Through workshops, training sessions, outdoor excursions, and community outreach initiatives, we strive to cultivate a community of outdoor enthusiasts who are not only prepared to handle medical emergencies but also committed to preserving and protecting the wilderness, ensuring safe and sustainable outdoor experiences for all.
MEET THE TEAM

Owen Ryu
Hello everyone! I'm Owen Ryu, and I'm excited to serve as the committee head for the TAMS Wilderness Medicine Committee. In addition to leading this committee, I'm also involved in various other clubs and organizations on campus, including Service Strong and Ignite.
When I'm not busy with school activities, you can find me exploring the great outdoors, whether it's hiking in the mountains or volunteering with wilderness efforts. Feel free to reach out to me. I'm here to support you every step of the way!
