Shear Kindness is our second fundraising event of the year. However, instead of raising money, we raise (or cut😉) hair! Participants across UNT come to shave their hair. Shorter cuts are donated to Matter of Trust, an organization that creates hair mats to clean environmental pollution such as oil spills. Longer cuts are donated to Children with Hair Loss, an organization creating wigs for kids with medically-related hair loss. Partnering with Subaru and their Love The Earth initiative, we were able to donate 258 inches of hair during the inaugural event. The event is our way of giving back to the community as the year comes to a close.
